Newborn
A newborn session is a very special and intimate session that should be scheduled prior to the baby’s birth, if possible. Scheduling 3 months in advance is most common. You would just then let us know when the baby is born and we will schedule the exact date and time of the shoot then. We offer two different styles of Newborn Sessions, described below.
Posed Newborn Sessions
In order to get those distinctive newborn images, these sessions are best if done during the first 10 days of life. These sessions typically last 1-3 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding, changing and to capture those sweet, sleepy pictures. For newborn photo shoots, we will travel to your home so you don’t have to take the little one out. We will come equipped with backdrops, flooring, props and various style baby hats and headbands for use in your images.

1-3 hour session / 35-40 fully edited high resolution images / Online Gallery / Print release for your finalized images
Lifestyle Newborn Sessions
These sessions are a bit more casual and usually involve the parents and sometimes siblings. The intention is to capture more natural images of the newborn in their home and with their family. These sessions can be done up to 6 weeks old and usually last 1-3 hours (we’ll never rush a baby!). I will come to your home and I will bring my camera and a few simple wraps for your baby.
We’ll capture some photos of you cuddling with your baby in the nursery, your baby in their crib, and all of the tiny decorating details that you thoughtfully and lovingly set up in your baby’s room during those last weeks of your pregnancy.
I love these types of sessions because we capture the love and bonding between the family members. Memories of this special time often become fuzzy for new parents and that is exactly why I feel these types of sessions are so great.
